(1) One patient developed synechiae between the middle turbinate and the lateral wall of the nose.(2) The valve area may be enlarged directly by correcting caudal septal deflection or turbinate hypertrophy.(3) Specimens from the lateral sides of the middle turbinate mucosa were examined as a control.(4) Examination revealed a polypoid mass within the left nasal cavity replacing the left middle turbinate .(5) Often patients begin treatment with turbinate reduction.(6) Partial middle turbinate reduction is not done as a routine.(7) In older children, nasal polyps and turbinate hypertrophy must be ruled out.(8) The thin and tortuous turbinate bones within the nasal cavity are lined with a membrane containing a very rich supply of blood vessels.(9) The nose contains shelf-like structures called turbinates , which help trap particles entering the nasal passages.(10) The odour molecules are distributed over the receptor sheet in an irregular pattern by the turbulence of the airflow set up by the turbinate bones in the side walls of the nose.
